Ensemble Rozeta

Ensemble Rozeta was founded in 2023 at the Anton Bruckner Private University Linz. Its members come from six different countries: Czechia – Lucie Lerlová (recorder, baroque oboe), Austria – Regina Schwingenschlögl (transverse flute), the USA – Erin Lupardus (baroque cello), Taiwan – Huang-Hsi Tseng (baroque violin), Slovenia – Alenka Klobučar (transverse flute) and Serbia – Mej Mansouri (harpsichord, organ). Ensemble Rozeta won third prize at the BRISK Early Music Ensemble Competition of ABPU in 2023 and second prize in 2024. As prizewinners, they were able to perform as part of the concert series Alte Musik im Schloss, Alte Musik - Neu gelesen in der Oberösterreichischen Landesbibliothek, and Abendmusik in the Ursulinenkirche in Linz.

The ensemble focuses on the interesting and unusual combination of recorder and transverse flute and presents a selection from the repertoire of 18th century music. The combination with baroque oboe and baroque violin opens up the entire spectrum of sound colors.

The name of Ensemble Rozeta was inspired by the architectural rose window. Sunlight shining through a rose window creates colorful patterns. In the same way, this instrumentation offers a colorful palette of unique timbres.
